Hi guys, 2006 Vogue with a strange noise. When I unlock the car, I get a clicking from behind the dash for about 3 seconds which then stops. Sounds loudest if I get my head by the vents under the stereo. If I start the car and operate the...

A little bit is not the end of the world, a simple test is get the engine nice and hot, leave it ticking over and loosen the oil filler cap, then place the cap in its home but not screwed in, if it rattles around all is okay, but if it start to...

With Izzy's body off its time to start thinking about its future. As per the other thread, I dont think the current chassis has one. But that kind of depends on what modifications from standard have been previously incorporated, and how easy...

The internal bar doesnt really get in the way, if you have standads seats. Its rather annoying with Corbeaus/bucket seats. As for fitting doesnt take much longer to add the internal bar and obviously considerably stronger. Chat to SD if you get...

Big day yesterday as Izzy's body came off. Couple of neigbours and the lady of the house press ganged into helping did the job: A pressure wash shifted the dirt and revealed the good bits and horrors in equal measure. The fuel tank has surface...

I can't tell if you're talking about the Chinese version or JLR's new vehicles... ;) I'm VERY wary of the long term life of new Chinese cars... but no more wary than anything new from JLR, anyway.

In that case, there should be a world wide recall of every vehicle fitted with the sh1t design fault. It can only be a matter of time before it causes a fatal accident.

This is where I got mine from. Looks like they are a bit cheaper at the moment… (they’ve never been the ‘full’ price!) https://eurosubframes.com/pages/product-result?rq=yr_2009~mk_landrover~md_freelander-2~jx_rear-subframe

They won’t be cheap (not silly expensive), but they certainly know their Freelanders, and will 100% be able to sort yours if it’s not something you want to tackle yourself. Sue and Norbert are great guys… and say hello to the dogs!

IMO that spike in the readings is the moment when the symptom occurs and it can be caused by a weak contact somewhere(ECU plugs or other connector, oil acts as isolator in the red plug) otherwise nothing wrong with the TPS or other sensor...

The peddle wiring goes to the black ecu plug not the red, my converted D1 had the same issues & had water in the plug. There are getting old now & the wiring gets brittle, there are new peddle looms on ebay for much cheapness. :)
