Check for air intake pipes that may have come loose during the engine being tilted to accommodate the gbox work.

Any problems before the replacement box?
Hi!
After replacing the gearbox and differential, the car lacks power and produces a lot of soot. Gear shifting is smooth, so there are no issues with that. Has anyone experienced a similar problem? What could be the cause—could it be unrelated...
Reviving this old thread, but I have searched and obviously there are VIN databases. When a V8 is changed from one Rover to another, it is unlikely to be the same year (engine and chassis numbers), so is there a engine database? So I can check...
So what do we fink happened. Excess revs blow'd one of the air pipes oft and the hot gas set it on fire? Turbo pipe split? Result fuel lines caught fire.
They is nicking our clouds to replace em wiv newer ones. Clouds are used to bouce the signals around the eurf. 3g is going. Already gone in some areas. Yer need 4g capability fer future use. 5g if yer want the newer faster netwurk if available...
Morning everyone. Kenyan resident here, and acquired a Disco Mk1 for a thing called Rhino Charge, a charity event raising money to preserve water courses coming down the Mountain (Charity is called Rhino Ark). The car was #43 last year, however...
Would be interesting to know! Africa is great, but spares are the real issue here. Toyota spares are readily available, especially for a 70 series landcruiser. Disco 1&2, RR and original defender too, however even rover guys here will admit...
Thinking about it, I think they were the ones who left the pamphlet for the Waiau Naturist site in the van, together with a drinks receipt from the Cruz Gay & Swingers Bar. Used condoms everywhere and broken bed board.
No couldn't have been...
I've read about the possible interior fuse panel issues with moisture, i assume that the 5 mins or so is for the IDM module to self learn/connect to BCU before starting. Also could there be an issue with the RF transmitter.. can this be tested on...
Is this you posting about yourself? Or just some quote from a thread/article you have found?
As I said, and posted a link to, there are protocols that the testers should adhere to. Which will not endanger your engine provided your cam belt is...
I just used both hands to grip it, gave it a slight pull, felt it give bit, then with firm but not too violent pull it popped out, maybe I was lucky but, mine was black plastic it didn't have wood veneer over it and, I could see it was a seperate...
This is what I found after a search -
I first qualified as an MOT tester in 1985, and the diesel smoke test was introduced some time after that. I always felt that the test was flawed, and that it was totally unnecessary to rev the engine right...
If you read the link you will see what they should be doing. "Prolonged period" is rubbish, but they do need to rev it up to the rev limiter for a short while.
This is why they check with you that your cam belt has been changed according to...
I had a memo from my MOT centre last year and the said that they will run the engine at high revs for a prolonged period and could take responsibility for any issues. This did worry me at the time. Tickover was the norm once as you say. I'm...
A lengthy trip today in my TDV84.4, Ashford via London to Grantham and back. 350-odd miles, average speed of 47 mph, mpg 30.4. Not bad at all. At one stage the average speed was 57 mph an 34,6 mpg! The sticky brake problem is temporarily fixed, a...
Not quite, there is a bit more to it.

Saga continues done a few miles today, drives fine, no lights, tonight used it for work when I knocked off had immediate aed and stability not available, no loss of power or effect of any kind well noticeably, turn it off and back on all good...
The shunt has pack negative and positive so is able to send out the pack voltage by CAN. The inverter does the same.
By plagiarising the work of others I have a ready made way of reading the CAN from the shunt and inverter so although the charger...
