Have you considered the military screw on lights? They’re more expensive but don’t seem to have the same problems as the standard lights.

Tankers can be very tough ships. During the days of convoys many stayed afloat despite torpedo hits. I suppose because they are divided into tanks or sections or summat that meant damage could be localised. . Or were, back in the day. So I think...

Have to confess, rather dreading the MOT on the Disco 2 tomoz. With all the rest of the poop in our lives at the mo. Don't want it biting me in the BTM. Normally I am pretty optimistic/fatalistic.... Also don't want to be having to drive it to...

Ive just finished replacing the brake servo tonight. and it all seems to be working well. managed to bag a 2nd hand one on ebay for £30. definitely one of the bigger jobs I've attempted. I didn't need to bleed the brakes in the end as I bled...

I'll investigate giving more movement by adjusting the flat bar - I have a mill, so elongating the slots wont be an issue. I think in the long run the internal wear will have to be addressed - be an interesting project I think. I was kind of...

The rod is actually flat bar with some slots in it - I could indeed elongate the slots to add some more adjustment. I might look at this again, cheers

I didn't loosen any of the pipework so I reckoned the worse it could be would have been as bad as it had been! But it was a right pain getting the three bolts out and back in. Mirror on a stick and blocks of wood, to enable access. Until I put...

Quick one hopefully. Went to move the Disco 2 Auto earlier. When reversing slowly as I could it kept cutting out with the battery and oil light coming on as if the ignition was just turned to the first point. Did it three times. Was fine going...

Anaconda replied to the thread Amigos and new friend!.
Son had 3 Amigos which we fixed doing the shuttle valve mod. Strangely it turned into 4 Amigos once, I hadn't plugged a cable in near the ABS pump! We have Foxwell and it diagnosed the above fault and MAF sensor using live data.

Hmm that sounds like a better idea, I’ll drive with the issue for a couple days until it annoys me enough to buy one!

Could be injector seals/washers. Could be fuel filter or housing. Or fuel pressure regulator. If it was running fine before pump died and now it doesn't then it may still be pump related, especially if it is a cheap one. My son had an issue...

It is said that if you have a problem or run out, you can simply tape a dog poo bag around your stoma, if you have to. Wouldn't fancy that, but the flanges can be a bit tricky, changing the bag that clips to it ain't too bad, but the flange has...
