Hello all. Ive got a Bearmach carb overhaul kit that worries me. Theres a couple of gaskets that are not accurately stamped so make me wonder if the jets theyve supplied are any good either?

has anyone used a bearmach branded kit and im interested in how you went with it. Did you use the jets and were they any good? Did the engine run well after fitting the parts from the kit? DW.

carb overhaul done. I used the original jets as i thought they were doing the job as they should. this Zenith carb was warped at the top and bottom halves as well as the emulsion block. Hand sanded them on glass.

I replaced the throttle shaft and used some of the other parts in the kit. I had some very small punches and exposed the partially exposed holes in the main gasket so they were fully exposed.

The result was good and the carb now runs well without flooding. Under heavy braking the engine used to flood and the rpm would plummet at times. All good. I wish i knew of a good brand aftermarket carb kit as the one I used was poor quality throughout.
