Yorkshire Lanes. Advice please.

Right then. Looks like I've talked myself into arranging this. I'm not available until Saturday 19th September (or Sunday if it's preferable. We'll go with the majority). So there's the date. Hopefully this is late enough into September for you Richard. Congratulations by the way. It was very rude of me not to mention it before. Everyone who's interested send me a pm with definately or maybe, contact details and if you have a cb. If there's a few of us we might have to split into smaller groups. Also any suggestions where to meet and if anyone knows of any smaller lanes. We can either meet somewhere central and go up in convoy or meet near to the lanes. Let me know preferences.
And finally to Toby, weekends are fine for me but I don't get many off so have to balance it with seeing her indoors. If people are available mid week I'm free then too but not until after the school holidays.
 
about 5 miles away-ish. i think?let me know if your coming along as i'll be driving through keighley on the way up.

I'm up for it, not worried about meeting point, anywhere will do for me, just tell me time and place. Also not worried whether Saturday or Sunday, but in my experience we get less hassle on the lanes on Saturdays ... fewer bobble hats with grudges seem to be about then!! If anyone's coming up from around, or passing Doncaster I could travel in convoy if they want, I'm easy .. ;)

Would appreciate a summary of where we're going first so I can check it out on the map first .. ;)
 
Did them again on Sunday, all open with no problems.
Then did some lanes by the old lead mines and firing range up near Redmire, like driving on the moon.
 
Longdog, do you fancy coming along and acting as guide. I've not been up to these before. Getting a few people interested and don't want it to be a waste of a day for people travelling up. I only know of the lanes mentioned in my first post so any local knowledge of other lanes would be much appreciated.
Paul, I've PM'd you back but only just seen your last post on here. As above I only know of the ones I've mentioned. If you know of or can find any more lanes in the area it might be worth it.

Don't get another weekend off till the end of next month, and going to the Lakes.
All the lanes are on Trailwise and easy to find.
 
Looks like I can't make it now, sorry.

Broke the middle finger of my left hand on one of the joints and it's still splinted, well strapped to the next finger anyway, but I've also cut the tendon next to it.

As such (been out today and tried) I can't grip the steering wheel very well at all and don't want to chance feckin' it up big style whilst out laning.
