He describes it as his beloved p38 and judging by the state of it and the price he's asking for it will still be his beloved by the end of the auction.

at the end of the day it's still old ****,modified old ****. guess the nova boys moved onto bigger **** projects

why spend all that money "upgrading"!! the front end yet if you walk round the back its like "oh its a p38"!!!! it really looks **** id wish these ****ers would stop ****ing up perfectly nice motors and then think its worth a bucket load!!

Looks very much like the 'pimpmobiles' I regularly see in New York, they too, are very good at f***ing up nice cars!
Love to see that try & get across a muddy field with those stupid wheels!!

The Irish second hand market...private and trade is a joke !!
The Irish imported cars of all makes are of a much lower spec. than the equivalent UK model.
Vauxhalls are not sold in S. Ireland, only Opels and the equipment is basic because, whatever the make, "Luxuries" such as Leather, heated front screens, sunroofs etc. are taxed to the hilt.
The VRT (Vehicle Registration Tax) is horrendous..even on imported vehicles and buyers/sellers all down the line try to get back what they paid for the car. In the good old days where the Irish had access to plenty of cash, it was a sellers market and people paid the stupid asking prices without a whimper. As a reult the sellers are still living in a dream world.
Most of the Irish don't give a toss about looking after their cars, i would never buy an Irish reg. car..regular checks on simple things like blown headlamp and tail lamp bulbs are non existant and the number of "One eyed" cars at night is horrifying, especially when the drivers side headlamp bulb is gone.
The whole culture of car care and driving etiquette is very bad and erratic. You can drive a car unaccompanied with a provisional licence, the cops (Gardai), especially in rural areas don't give a toss, they can make more money out of concentrating on speeding fines. Where else could you go for a driving test, fail it and drive away on your own??
The whole emphasis is creating a culture of hate toward the SUV, "Jeep" etc. and pushing toward buying Mini cars, more so than in the UK.
The Government has stuck "Windmills" up all over the place in order to appear to be "Green" yet they export their rubbish abroad for disposal, still allow coal and peat to be burnt, bury most of their rubbish instead of burning it and still continue to pour raw sewage out to sea .
It's the "Irish way" to rip people off, and they stand it !!!!

Rant over
:behindsofa::focus:

You are correct here Irish. Ripoff Ireland seems to be a little ahead of ripoff Britain in some respects. A friend of mine made a mint buying boats and outboard motors here in England and sending them to Ireland, were he got seriously silly money for them. Trade seems to have dropped off in the last year or so though.

+1 to what Irish posted. Have stated this before. Rip off merchants one & all. As for the RR that p38 posted the link to, what a bucket of ****e. Someone should tell the seller not to lie :), electric seats my arse

check out the latest! the price is a tad high. but look at what he says.

"ONE OF THE VERY BEST ON EBAY,IF NOT SOLD ILL KEEP IT" talk about stating the obvious!!

That's not so out there, last time I did Reading to Galway I brimmed it before leaving, and got there + about 50-60 miles of trundling about before needing to fill again. So with Reading to Galway 485miles +50, that's 535 from a tank or 26mpg, fact, without referring to the trip computer at all.
