You'll have to explain a bit better. Yellow lever should push down when in high range, changing into low range it should pop up again.

Are you saying it'll push down and stay down when in low range?

Sorry if I didn't make this clear. In high ratio, if I press the yellow lever down it does not engage and simply pops back up. It does engage when pressed down in low ratio.

Take the tin cover off the ends of the selector rods on the transfer box ....

Chances are they'll be rusty and need freeing off to allow them to move under the pressure of the internal spring allowing the "pin" to drop into the top of the rod thus selecting 4wd high .

You may to work the rods in and out by GENTLY gripping the ends of them with grips and using a cloth to protect them .

Worth filling the tin cover with coppa slip to keep the water out in the future .

Thanks for this advice. I'll have time to look at this over the weekend. Will let you know.I do a lot of offroad in fields etc logging and high ratio 4WD is better.
