Well i'm well chuffed with the old girl now! (the missus car, not the missus!) Took it out for the 1st time on really bad roads yesterday to get little one from school. Went the safe but long route there. Thought roads must be clear by now, not seen any bad stuff, we'll go back the short way through the lanes.
WRONG!!!
There is one huge hill down, really tight blind bend over a bridge single track at the bottom, then up the other side another huge hill. You guessed it! both hills were sheet ice! managed to change down a gear before we rolled onto it, just in time! Had a "if you can, I can" car behind me following. We had loads of fun watching him fighting his rear end all over the road. twice he nearly lost it! But the old bus just chugged on regardless, occasionally a wheel would slip, but the rest held with no difficulty. Braked beautifully by the engine all the way down, and dragged all the way up the other side. Needless to say, I'm well happy with these wee beasties, and now desperate to get mine back on the road pronto!
