For once, a fix and not a problem.

Wandering around a scrap yard noticed a P38 4.6, so decided to check it out for bits n bobs. Unfortunately a lot of useful stuff had been stripped. But I found the rubber hoses and T junction for the cruise control. Slapped it on mine, cut the perished end of the hose to give a clean seal. Job done. :D

Interesting - having the cruise set to 70, slowed down to 45-50 and then hit resume and it kicked itself down to get back up to 70. :D

Now onto the other issues.........

Cheers

if only mine was that easy to fix :( put new pipes into the t bit but nothing, sadly when I press the cruise control button on my dash nothing light's up so not sure where to start, many other jobs before I get to that bit

Just follow the troubleshooting procedure on RAVE and it will pinpoint the cause. Don't be tempted to jump a step no matter what. You will need a multi meter to do it.
If it's a diesel, it's more complex because the cruise control is run from the engine ecu and not the vaccum system that is fitted to the V8's.

Luckily my p38 is a 4.0 v8 will get in rave when I get chance, I like the car it's so annoying normally I wouldn't bother fixing so many thing I would jusr sell it and use another car
