;)

At the end of the day this is the best pedal lock on the market. I'd recommend one to anybody who would like to keep hold of their defender.

I've got a plan in mind for something discreet ;) 3 bar double throw lock, one bar per pedal and it locks it into the bulkhead with a drop down extension panel.

May draft it up on 3D cad or solid works later if I cba, joys of having access to a full machine workshop an having an old gun safe with the correct lock ready to chop up

Good luck with that

Think most thieves like to take landys that work though ;):p:D

Lower half with lock and secure hinge sinks into recess on floor, lock is mounted to rear of large plate that comes up and presses onto the bottom of the pedals, top piece is already down and attached to bulkhead and top of footwell and the 3 bar lock clamps the two pieces together ;) simples

and shut it  it'll work once I fix that bulkhead!

Yes but in this instance he's right. :multiply:

If your referring to the lights, I don't think anyone really cares.

You even admit that some of the stuff they sell is "quite useable but seriously overpriced" which doesn't make it "tat" does it.

All you've done is agree with the halfwit and then say he's wrong.

Well done you.

It makes it the best in a bad situation  you nonce.

I got the fan switch - which I'm really happy with. I would like the x-brake but definitely not getting one at that price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it a coincidence that you live in Horsham and that X-ENG is also located in the same town or are you employed by X-Eng???

Well its funny you ask.

I have a bit of x-eng kit (A ground anchor) but I bought it second hand, and yes, I rate it and wouldn't have anything else.

I have NEVER been to the company, nor have I ever bought anything from them directly.

As for what I do for a living, I'm a Senior Tech at an American IT Corporation, I can't design stuff, nor can I make stuff, so NO I do not work for x-eng.

I hope that puts that idea to bed before you get to carried away with it.

So you have no idea about design, build or material costs then

The amount of steel he has used in some of the bits he sells at ridiculous prices isn't even a 10th

No doubt parts are CNC milled which means he can just press a button and let it go, so minimal man hours once the piece is developed on solid works as it writes the cutting program

TBH I don't care.

If it works I'm happy to pay for it. The ground anchor is superb. I've seen some of the suspension components they churn out and again they look brilliant.

Surely your paying for the design not just the material costs.

be the same as buying one of his though if you used the same kind of parts wouldn't it

Don't think so B. They probably use approved rotors and calipers off the self with a brake cable all approved by the auto industry to meet certain standards required by law and a few stamped metal pieces meeting to a certain standard.
Then have testing done and approved by government test standards, before being sold. So there is some R&D in the price and liability insurance on the product, which adds to the cost
