I am after an X-Eng pedal guard for my defender. I know its not likely anyone will have one lying around but if you do let me know.

Looking at the pic below the lock strikes me as a good concept but a poor overall design, surely if its on your floor or rather making up a second skin on the floor and being hinged its just going to rattle like fcuk, secondly it doesn't state the thickness of the steel used simply the pin being 6mm and the claw that grabs the pedals inside being 10mm, thirdly and taken from their site "NOTE This does NOT fit Series or Tdci / TD4 / Puma Defenders or Td5 with AirCon!" so you're kinda screwed if you want one for a TDi although I was never aware that the TD4 was a fender engine……..
Lastly the lock itself "an anti-drill, British Made Lowe & Fletcher RPT Lock" no idea on these but they're £11 so take it as you will Lowe & Fletcher 4303, 4304, 4314 Radial Pin Tumbler Camlocks

I reckon with with a decent smash from a good sharp cold chisel it might break it off its seat and then the bar itself that locks is 3mm and the tumbler lock wall isn't going to be that thick so I reckon with a couple more hits you'd be through.

Also he states that it took 4 blades to chop through the box………this doesn't take 4 blades and its the same 304 stainless

You may well be right however when i looked at one fitted it seemed pretty impressive. As we know know if they really want it they will get it and it seems somehting you can just bang on easily every time you leave the car whereas with some stuff its such a ball ache to put on it tends to get left.

i got mine. Very pleased with it. I dunt think over priced tat is quite right though drivel :p

There is a market for his stuff.

The pedal box that you dont have to store is much better than the one you have to sling in the back, and its solid.

I also have the aluminium temp switch thing for me fan, well made and easy to fit. Would take you ages to fab one up when most dont have the skill or inclination.

Also the same for alot of his other products.

One thing i dont agree with is £185 for a land anchor but thats personal choice. if you like it you buy it ;)

Anyway, back to topic.

I like the pedal lock, im very pleased. I would advise you to get one. :D

Like has been said if they want to take your motor they will!!

These are much better than any of the pedal boxes or clutch claws, I've made 2 minor alterations and I'm quite happy that if any tw@t tries to get it off they will wake me in the process, then they'll get a big shock!

Well that comment doesn't surprise me at all..... I suppose you haven't even searched for the threads about how **** the lights are seeing as they're just household bulbs in a water jacket
