Autos creep when in D or 1,2,3/R so if a X Defend fold away pedal box is fitted and the ignition and fuel pump immobiliser bypassed and it is started and put in D or other gear, will the car drive albeit very slowly ?

I've read that in some installations the pedal box presses on the brake pedal so would this counter the tendency to creep?

Asking because I'm thinking of getting one for my auto 90. I have a Disklok but for short trips/stops it's a bit of a hassle even though I can put it on and remove it now in about 15s.
But if the pedal box won't stop an auto from creeping I'm not sure if it's worth it.

Thank you.

I thought you had to put the footbrake down before you were able to select a gear due to the safety interlock?
Not on mine, its a HP22 manual type; I think the safety interlock prevents it from starting in D/1/2/3/R and whooshing off

Safety interlocks & other various 'elf 'n safety' devices are relatively recent, all older autos are only prevented from starting up unless the 'box is in P or N … always assuming the lockout is working!
I'm old enough to remember a time when drivers were deemed able to think for themselves

So I take it that nobody here has an auto and uses a X-Defend pedal box who can advise me?...
I guess I'll email Foundry 4x4.

Got the x defend but on a manual. It does press the brake pedal down significantly as it ratchets around it if that's any help

Phoned Foundry4x4 and they said it'll be ok, and the brake pedal will be depressed so that solves auto-creep. It's a former LT77 but the floor/tunnel hasn't been altered so there shouldn't be fitting issues; sent a photo as requested to confirm.
