just to let you know this might be worth a go too......its an international web site recording the details of stolen landys, so in case UK ones go abroad maybe circulating the VIN from stolen vehicles on an overseas website might help? I guess it can't hinder.
I have spoken to the (dutch) administrator of the site and he is hoping to build a map of theft locations and eventually have a voluntary system whereby you sign up for alerts when vehicles are taken and can help keep an eye out for them - clearly landy owners are more likely to spot other landy's on the road that other motorists!
Once your treasure has been stolen you've nothing else to loose so its worth a shot perhaps.
