Wuuring noise from clutch

Hi there,I'm getting a wuuring noise when a deploy the clutch, been told it could be the release bearing, just wondering how long have I got or do I need to replace the clutch and master ? Thanks in advance

It's not good once they start making noise. I wouldn't wait too long.

Also.... someone may get 10 miles out of a whirring bearing, where someone could get 1000 miles.
There really is no way to tell.

Ok thanks,I've got the clutch kit and slave and hoping not to have to do the master, I'm getting quotes of £450 just for the labour, is this right

Lets assume it's a TD4 (because you haven't clarified whether it is or not)
the time in autodata to do the job is 8.4hrs.
I personally dropped my engine and box in 3hrs, then spent the remaining time playing with missing or broken Bits. (read my profile before asking why)
I intend to replace all brake lines, repair wires, change damaged aircon hoses - PRIOR to the engine going back in... so... I'm playing at it..
A1 Clutches in Derby quoted £250.00 for labour alone but, once it's stripped, the garage can have you over a barrel, by saying - it needs a flywheel, or another catastrophic gearbox input shaft failure is about to occur... - or something like that.

Hence me using a mini digger to get the engine and box out, and 30 50mm Paving blocks to hold the body up out of the way.

Mine lasted 7 months then went, cost £450 but that was with a new slave cylinder aswell.

If I could get it fixed for £450 I would be very happy,maybe I'll see what happens then,just spent £300 on new vcu, £400 on tyres and £100 on a de cat pipe. Where will it end

Er, with a new Cat for the Mot. De-cats are now an Mot fail.

Went through last week no problem, the tester has to be reasonably sure there is one, as the tester can't see all the way back to manifold he can't say if there is one or isn't.
