its the drivers side footwell that needs to be replaced anyone know a relatively quick way of doing this? i dont want to have to take the whole thing apart for the sake of a footwell! anyone know a quicker way to do it that the haynes manual suggests?

yeah, cut it all out from the inside then the engine bay ,
floor out, new footwell in , tack it up , get it in position all round,
press in tight and weld inch at a time to get tight fitting plates !
easy

as for drivers side, leave pedals etc in, cut the new footwell across the holes then put them back together over the pedals ( not recomended tho)

yeah cutting across the holes is what i thought and then wqeld them up again once its in place! saves a lot of time by having to take all the pedals out! cheers for advice

Taking the pedals out does not take to long (6 bolts and the pipe unions) and as your probaly going to take most of the bolts out anyway to bolt them back in ........

did mine in a morning , with a fry up inbetween, :D
only takes ten mins to take the pedals out ,
they slide out at an angle to the hole so dont need to take the assembly apart !
most of it will be fixed to the new footwell so yer will be doing it twice any way , either way , its got to be done ;) post piccys as yer doin it
