Hi everybody, i'm new on this great forum but I also have a problem.
I have a 1997 Discovery 300 TDI. I removed the cat about twelve months
ago but now I need to renew the rest of the system. I have just received
a new centre and tail section from Paddocks, but the centre section is just a straight pipe and the one on mine is a silencer. Is this a modification or the wrong part. Hope someone can help. Thanks. Brink.

Sounds like you have ordered or had delivered the "Discovery TDi 300 Sports exhaust" instead of the std one.

Disco 300 System

About the same price, allows the turbo to spin up a bit quicker and gives a pleasant exhaust note.

Now it's up to you to decide whether it's what you wanted or not?

Thanks for your quick reply biglad, I just wondered if it would cause early failier of other parts, maybe turbo. also is it a lot louder with only one silencer. Brinks

Hi there Brinks, it is slightly louder but only just noticeably so, so not a big deal at all and it hasn't created any failure problems on any of the Discos that I've installed it on.

Cheers
Dave

Cheers biglad, I fitted it and it seems fine, hardly any change in tone. Thanks for your help. Brinks.
