Would it be cheeky?

Theres a guy lives round the corner from me has a freelander 1 sitting in his drive along with 3 other motors, now ive lived in this village for a year and the jeeps sat at the back of the driveway for the entire year with a flat tyre and slowly its turning green..to me its going nowhere but it has a set of chrome side steps and light guards on it i had been considering buying anyway for my own , do you think it would be cheeky if asked them if they would be interested in selling? :scratching_chin:

Just wait until there is no-one in a post a note through their letter box.

Ask if they will sell and just give your mobile number. That way if they are offended they wont ring and will never know who you are

You might even do better if you ask him today .Your money might be worth more on a Sunday :scratching_chin: . Make sure you bring your own spanners .

Just knock on the door, but don't expect them for nowt. Some people keep hold of stuff like this in the hope that they will get time one day to earn their money back. Offer a fair price and I'm sure they'll be yours.

its still intact, infact if i had somewhere to put it id be tempted in asking to buy the motor to strip for spares handy that its the same colour as my own so could strip a good few parts off it

If you're going for cheeky, ask to buy it off them but tell them as its only for spares would they mind leaving it on their drive while you came and got the bits you needed from it from time to time.
