Just wondering whether it's worth replacing the UJ's when replacing the 2 prop carrier bearings or am I opening a can of worms trying to replace them?

Is replacing prop carrier bearings rather straight forward. The Rave manual seems to indicate the process is relatively simple, but I just want to find out from those who have first hand experience of doing the job using axle stands and no impact wrenches.

If the UJs have play then change them. However due to the Freelander being FWD a majority of the time, the UJs last pretty well.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
I replaced one of mine while replacing bearings and repairing VCU. It probably would have been fine but I had to use heat to get the front propshaft off the VCU so replaced it as a precaution.
