does anyone know where i could get a copy of the workshop manual on cd or a download??

There are usually a few for sale on ebay, the Landrover version is called 'Rave', Just make sure it covers your engine as some are US spec and dont cover all variants.

Try a search on here, there's a link to a site with original downloadable manuals. Some are in Johnny foreigner language though!!!
