ok - went out last night armed with the tape measure.

The 1.5metre at the back imaginery line will work i think. - store everything on shelves back there.

Fold down metal or wooden bench along the longest wall with the vise mounted on wing nuts to make removal easy.

landy will be much easier to get inside once i have taken it back to the bulkhead only - its all loose now just waiting on me to get one of the garages sorted. for getting it all under cover.

strange clause in my deeds says i cannot cover cars in the front garden with anything other than a carport or a garage..... Tarp is out :(

I worked out that I can just squeeze my 2" lifted Disco1 on 33's into my standard issue council garage by letting the rear tyres down and maybe using ratchet straps on the rear axle to lower it a few inches.

No chance of working on it though so would only be for storage.

just a thought here for ya..

if the wheels make it too tall,
have a spare set on mimalistic sized wheels just for parking in the garage.
ok, pain in the ass to change em, but its better then cracked side walls on the dohnuts..

I was going to buy some cheap steels and drive it in on the rims (no tyres) but when the time comes for it to go hide for a while i'll get it in on my flat 33's, pump them back up when inside then jack the whole thing up off the ground - better use of storage underneath it than on top ;)
