If it's any help, I had a couple of hernias, four I think repaired by "keyhole surgery" all at the same time a few years back. Even though it was keyhole and not cut wide open and dive in, I was told to not even think about driving for six weeks and to be honest, I didn't much feel like doing anything at all for about four weeks after the op.

Day 3 and my first venture outside. 10 mins walk each way - to the hardware shop!!

They have cut me open on this one, got bruising where it shouldn't be, Day 2 and I'm still in agony. don't feel like I can do anything but cant sit still, my sons coming for me to take me up my shed got a lad coming to give me a price on Sandblasting the chassis so might get some progress done while I'm healing.
Don't think Insurance covers driving for at least 2 weeks after the OP. Will try and take my time;)

You'd be surprised how they throw you around to get at the bits they need to while you're out of it ...

Odd for a 17yr old.

Genetics are a fooker!! Now i'm covered in plasters!

90% of doing any job right is in the planning.
But try convincing your other half of that!
ive hurt a few ribs a few weeks back and for a start it was near impossible to work ,but my mrs came out and did the graft ,surprised me and gave me added respect

One just has to look for the positives. Take clearing moss from the gaps in block paving. Must be the most tedious job in the history of tedious jobs. BUT... break it down into 10 min sections due to my constrained circumstances - and suddenly it becomes a major achievement and adds a sense of well being! :D:D

Can you not use a pressure washer, (Gerni), for a job like that?
Should be less effort, no bending/stooping, as long as drainage is ok.
