Why is it unsafe to fill with diesel? you need to work on your contextual scenario's:doh:

Lets agree to disagree. I think the nuts with the taper and the shoulder are ok, you don't. The garage obviously think they're ok too as it wasn't mentioned at the MOT.

Just had another think about this and it's not the side more likely to undo via inertia, it's always the right hand side.... that's why many vans and ALL lorries have left hand threads on the offside wheel nuts.
What ****wit told you that hold him by the throat and hit him with your 1000nm air gun, cock.
Are you one of these idiots who give out info to peeps on how to fix there landy (or any other vehicle) when you dont actually know what your talking about .

Your supposed to be an engineer  so you tighten wheel nuts that should be done up to 130nm to (your words not mine) as tight as my 1000nm air gun would do them and then tightened them some more with a bar, yer right course you did.
Have you any idea how tight 1000nm or even 500nm as you now THINK your gun is actualy putting out actually is, i very much doubt you do.
And while were on the subject of air guns what make and model is yours and how old is it?
Are you sure your not mixing up undoing torque with doing up torque cos all the guns i have the doing up torque is lower than the undoing torque.
