I've just been to my local Sainsburys, and upon reversing my Rangie out of
the space, my exhaust had an encounter with a bollard! It's cracked it
right by the join with the middle box....

However I'm tempted to never get it fixed, because my engine now sounds
awesome!! It's costing me a shed load in fuel as I floor it from every
standing start!!

When my 101 had a hole in the exhaust before the silencer it sounded
awesome too! I did start to find that the floor wasnt very airtight
though as eventually the fumes start to get to you!

Cant beat the sound of a V8. If I ever win the lottery I'm after a Monaro
( sadly I dont think I'm likely to win :-(( )

With the way the NZ dollar has dropped in value it might be worth
importing a used one from here - you should be able to pick up a nice
2004 Monaro for well under £15000, and the shipping shouldn't be outrageous.

That is an excellent idea, never thought of that. Do you have an NZ online
car sales mag or equivalent by any chance.

Our homegrown version of eblag is probably a good place to start with
http://www.trademe.co.nz

Otherwise http://www.autotrader.co.nz but the interface is ****e and
most of the listings are from dealerships.

As a rough guide the exchange rate is currently about £1 = NZ$3.
