I have pick up TD4 04 Freelander from a friend it has been starting cold on easy start. I have change glow plugs air filters and have removed diesel filter to replace next. would I have to do anything like bleeding the filter it's the one on the back wheel arch any ideas would be greatful

Try to see if there's any faults logged with a reader, but I would look towards the Camshaft Sensor, It's only used during cranking, it synchronizes the timing, once started it's no longer used
