Hi everyone
Replaced the battery in my key fob for my 53plate Serengeti and it will lock the doors however it will not unlock any door at all I have to use to key to gain entry. can anyone shed some light as to why when you press the unlock button I can hear the drivers side making a noise but nothing happens
Thanks

Once the fob battery or sometimes the vehicle battery are replaced, the fobs need synchronisation to the vehicle. This is carried out by pressing the lock button 5 times, within a few feet of the driver's door. It's in the owners handbook, under fob maintenance. ;)

I’ve tried that and nothing happened. It locked on first press and then nothing after that. Do I need keys in the ignition or anything. When it locks it only locks once instead of twice

What do you mean by it only locks once, not twice? The lock function locks the vehicle with a single press, after which it's locked. Unlocking normally takes one press for the drivers door, then a second press for the others.

It used to lock twice if that makes sense. I would press the lock button twice and it would click each time as if it was dead locking the vehicle. I might be imagining it
I will try and sync it again

There's no need to press the lock button twice, as the locks deadlock with a single press. All that happens when you press the button again, is it power's the deadlock motors again, which will shorten their lives, as they can't turn and burn out instead.

The FL1 is often configured to unlock the drive door on the first press, but release the deadlocks on the remaining doors, so they unlock in the event of an accident.

Just tried syncing and it’s still the same have to use key to be able to open the door

Do you hear the motors in the other doors power, or is it just the driver's door that unlocks?
None of the doors unlock apart from the boot. I have to use the key to get into the drivers door and reach across from inside to unlock the passenger door. I can hear the drivers door trying to unlock
