Won’t start..

Hey all, I have a 2005 freelander 1 facelift, 1.8 petrol with 57k on the clock, I was driving then stopped at traffic lights car clutch went to the floor and wouldn’t come back up, AA called.. said slave cylinder had gone. But since this has happened I have been unable to actually start the car, I brought a new battery for the car ( other one was died ) central locking works, I have 3 lights on. Battery, engine& oil. I really dunno what to do now. Please can someone advice me?

What do you mean by won't start? It won't crank over, or the engine turns over just fine, but it doesn't fire?

It won’t turn over, it just clicks

That's normally the starter solenoid contactor worn out. There's a repair kit for the solenoid available for about £20, which when installed in the starter, will solve the problem.
