Took me 2 hours to do my usual hourly commute in me van this morning, some pillack decided to stop half way up a hill in the snow and couldnt get goin again! so had to patiently wait at the bottom, then as i was slowly spinning my way up the hill a p38 came past, making the ascent look a peice of cake, any one else wish they ad used their land?

This probably won't help, but I sooooo nearly came to work in the BMW today relying on the BBC weather forecast being vaguely accurate (sun with possibility of very light snow mid afternoon).

As it happened, I took the Range to give it a run...and we had a complete white-out blizzard from 10am - midday!! Bright sunshine now, but still snow on the ground, so very pleased I took the Range!

See, told you it wouldn't help... ;)

im stuck driving my thirsty V8 with normal tyres, dont get me wrong im happy i have something to get me going but the fuel bill is INSANE!! cant wait to get in to my DSE and drive past people spinning wheels on the road....! lol

Got the 4.0SE....no-where near as thirsty as 4.6; still got nearly 13/Gal 2today. Had Shogun 2.8 oil burner before - didn't return any better!

my 4.6 does about 16MPG (I also have a hairy foot!!! im 27 not 57!! lol) my DSE does about 20 MPG but diesel is slightly cheaper. but my DSE is powerfull as hell. it had a full jamie someone or other intercooler and full remap chip so will give a 4.6 a good run for its money. bare in mind i own both so i know. plus i just love bing in my DSE its such a nice place to be. leather and electric everything java black and tinted windows and lovely aggressive tyres!! IMO its the bomb but im sure every owner thinks there's is. but thats the joy of a RR that each of us feel the same about ours!

My 4.0SE usually returns around 18 round town, mostly short trips too - 22+ easy on a run. Less today in these conditions for obvious reasons!
2.8 Shogun shed never got that much!

As you say, we all love our own, that's why we own 'em!

I live too close to the sea so we don't get much snow, we did get a bit in the last cold snap but I think we'll miss out on the next batch.
I used to have a Pajero 3.5 24v which to be fair would climb anything and if it couldn't it would push it out of the way :D But it wasn't good on fuel  now I've got my DSE it's as if it runs on fresh air!!! :D:D:D

Ridesafe, you should set-up a off-road training school for these type of days, my mate has a m/c training school in Manchester and always has it terrible at this time of year until the end of Jan, his answer is to go off roading and charge his mates for the day
