Is there such a thing as a Wiring Diagram for a Series 3? I have just bought a LWB ex MoD and want to try to remove all the electric string that seems to be 'hanging around' and redundant!
Such is my luck I'ld remove something and the Landy would never run again!
If I know what should be there I reckon I'ld have a fighting chance at least!

Beware, if its military spec you may find much of the wiring doesn't match the diagram.
Also, as any Series motor is about 25 years old minimum, it may have been extensively modified over the years.

Big +1

Most of the wiring in my exmod is ****ed up. It works just fine but I need a multimeter and some good ideas about electrical circuits to figure things out. If anything use the diagram for a guide on how to redo the wiring the right way, not to figure out what its like in your car.

Cheers guys :) !

The general plan is to try to restore some sanity to it and make the terminals and connections a bit more reliable by repacing them with something a bit, how shall I put it, less corrosive?
I used to do wiring in a previous existance so it should keep me quiet over the winter. There are some interesting connectors and the like to play with as well so I won't get bored!

I did try the link given but didn't get anything - I hope my wiring is better than my computer skills!

Hi Oil Dripper
Thanks for the link - That got me to the "Wiring Diag" and it's key which should do the job.
As previous members have pointed out they are a law unto themselves but at least I have a base-line to work from.
I know I have to replace the Instrument Pod (broken) and there are some interesting odd wirse dangling in the engine compartment as well I'ld like to resolve - it should be interesting and keep me occupied if nothing else!

Thannks for the offer ATO - if I knew what I had to do to "pm" my e-mail address I probably would; this whole "Forum" thing is a new world to me!

And I thought Haynes manuals were only produced to lead me into areas I shouldn't go - and increase the garage costs as they sort out the mistakes I'ld made and then do the repair! Probably useful "revision" though and they have been known to help!

Cheers Rusty - I'll get one anyway. It's just I seem to be the person who reads it carefully and misses some important comment and than I'm left with the odd M6 machine screw and a worried look on my face!
Whatever happens it will be an adventure! As long as I get round the military wiring I should be O.K. :)
