hello recently got myself a rear hd bumper dirt cheap ( so had to have it ) unfotunately no room for tail an indicator lights so tucked away underneath out of the way.
the question is can i rewire the lights high up on the roof rack and maybe incorperate brake lights as well, i have an auto electrician on standby but would like to have a go myself if its do'able, also any ideas on which way to route the wiring without it being seen, thanks in advance.

electrically yes it's a simple job..
legally it's a big fat NO!!!

with the lights high up they wouldn't meet the vehicle lighting regs,
addition lights are fine but the only lights no..
i'm surprised the auto spark hasn't told you.

thanks lads, i do have brake/side & indicators like 200tdi but the right indicator keeps acting like a bulbs gone, i keep checking and bulbs underneath are in fine working order just covered up so i dont look like a cruiser, so i thought maybe mounting high on roofrack would cure this problem. thanks again.

if all three lights are working on the side with the fault check for poor connections, on the light units and buld holders..

would maestro van lights fit??
these have all the legal lights built into them
