anglesey,
Hi guys..
just starting to put my 90 back together, ( pics in members vehicle forum), and I've come across a bit of a snag... headlight wiring loom is burnt out in a couple of places, nearside I think, probably about 2 meters from the plug (see pic 1)

On close examination I've also found another burnt out section leading to a multiplug (pic 2 )
My question is, I suppose, what's the 2nd best and safest way to proceed? ( I'm not going to replace the whole loom at a cost of £500+)

I was going to splice in some 7 core trailer cable, but I would rather use the correct thickness and colour cable, which I can get from VWP, but is there anyone who could knock up a couple of meters of the correct cable with new multiplugs??

BTW, how do identify the correct grade of cable needed??

Thanks a lot

You could easily make your own - you have the original as a reference. the wire/parts all easily available - have a look at the Vehicle Wiring Products website for example prices.

Thanks guys... got the boomsang looms and a load of connectors this week.. I'll order the wire tomorrow and off we go.. thanks again
