Wiring loom

Hi. I have looked and searched forum. But nothing tells me about this. I have 2.5n/a and wish to swop to my disco 200 tdi into my devender etc. I know Parker down exhaust hd fork etc etc long pipes. But. Nothing says about the wiring loom etc. when it begins from and ends at where. Like. Alternator starter motor wires do I keep that with engine from 200 tdi etc? Does it unplug connector or summat etc. Glow plugs wires from the fourth etc ?? Any help on this would be grand

I think the wiring loom is the same for both engines

just label all wires up as you remove from old engine and its easy when you have tdi in to wire back up, only a few wires they are, fuel pump solinoid, oil preasure, water temp, glow plug, alternator plug sometimes the same sometimes not but easy to cut off if diferent plug and wires to starter motor and starter solinoid thats it, use electrical tape and a permenent marker to labell and not masking tape and ballpoint like i did, got wet and couldnt tell what was what

It's all the same, they both have fuel solenoid, oil pressure warning, couple on the alt one for the glows and one for the temp sender.

I had a 2.5P then a 2.5NA now a 300tdi in mine, all thats changed was a spade connector to a ring or something.
