Could anybody please tell me were the connector is (if there is one) for wiring in the secondary (aux) 7 pin towing socket. I can not find anywhere it on my 94 300 tdi.

Thanks in advance

Hi there is a conector behind the cubby boxes in the back of the td5 but i dont know if its for both sockets or just the light socket ,not sure about the 300tdi, phone the local dealer and ask who fits thier tow bars then phone them .cheers gazv70

Hi

All the wires you need are behind the os rear light unit.
They are bullet style conectors with plugs in.

all the best jason

Hi if you are looking for the normal black towing socket its located behind the right hand trim panel round black socket,if you mean the charging for secondary electrics such as battery charging for caravans there is no connector for 200 300 or disco 2 without fitting a loom/relays kit, hope this helps tiga

Hi

To wire an aux socket you only need two earths these you can fit to any bolt behind the light unit, reverse light this you can spure streight of the lamp loom, then if you buy a voltage sensative relay avalible from most tow bar supplies you feed this with the 12v feed that is behind the os light unit i am 90% sure its purple but it does have a plug in it.then when the vehicle is not running this will feed you caravan with 12v to operate lights etc of your car then when you run your car and it starts to charge the voltage rises to 13v and clicks over the relay now it feeds your fridge whilst driving.
I have done this and it works

cheers jason
