make your own directional antenna with a pringle tin.
think you will need probably 2 of them.
thats why those chaps are saying their antennas only receive.
its not the fibre thats costly - its the equipment either end. If she dont use the internet much - use a pay as yu go dialup. Cheap as chips. Wot she wanna use the interfingy for?
Either that or run an STP (FTP) cable beteen the houses - are they detached or terraced, if terraced - piece of pie?
Network cable is not a option.... I am after advice on the antennas not cables, fibre optics, or infrared..... its going to be my best option..... i suppose nobody has done it so i will have to find out the hard way....
The reason the signal strength is low - is because it is designed that way - to stop your neighbours from picking up your signal. I believe there is a maximum power level for such devices - but dont know what it is. I suggest you try the tin can method and see if it works.
