Wireing a light bar

fair enough, i just thought that if i wired an earth it'd save me having to scrape paint off things and rust proof them after, and if it were to be wired in one colour i'd tag the cables :D

I just used a band of red heatshrink on the live feed etc at the relay end, call me daft but i didn't want a multicoloured light bar! Is that a bit chavvy/gay???

i thought that :) that was the reason behind multi core cable :p or there might be a way of feeding the cable through the inside of the light bar?

Mine came predrilled for internal wiring, but when I built my mates up I drilled it first (think i settled on 12mm) drill on bottom of bar so it doesn't become a water container!

with the 12mm holes (think they're bigger on my predrilled one) you can just push the cable through and fish the end out as it passes the hole, repeat x 4 and away you go!
Might be more tricky if you use 2x1.5mm though, might need to use something thicker as a guide...

great, well i'll have a go tomorrow :) do we think amp cable will be enough? i've just found some laying around (sorry not to good with ratings)
