haha mine do the same! but i find that once the screen and wipers are wet and they are going full bore they start to go right down. not sure whether the mech just wants cleaning and a bit of WD!

Behind the connector block on the wiper motor is a little plastic plunger. That's what operates the parking switch. Have a look and see if it's broken.
