After doing a lot of work to my 90 ive set of a chain of wiper related woes.
I was repairing the bulk head against the clock ( not literally but limited daylight! ) so my wipers came off with a hammer and went back together in a similar way.
I bust the wheel boxes and therefore the motor burned out on the way home.
Repaired the wheel boxes and replaced the motor put a new fuse in - but im still having issues.
Im new to all this but the only other thing on the circuit is the reverse light which i have replaced with an LED so keep that in mind.
So before the work everything worked fine.
The mechanical mechanism works fine now.
There is a new motor with a new park switch. ( old one burnt out and the brushes were well worn. )
So i put the new fuse in and turn my wipers on, nothing happens the fuse instantly blows.
I put a 20 amp fuse in just to see - the wipers work but only when the stalk is in the off position ( ie the one position they shouldnt work in! ) immediately replace the 20 amp with the correct 15 amp and the fuse no longer blows but same situation.
Fault is that my wipers are working at a slow speed when in the off position - other positions show no sign of life!
Any ideas?
Relay issue? Wiring issue? - Worked fine before.
Looking forward to hearing from you, and thanks in advance for taking the time to read this.
