I think mine has had it. When I press the switch the wipers move fine but the pump only works once out of every ten times unless I turn the engine off then once in three or four times. Could it be just a loose wire? I think I can get at it through passenger side headlight or is there a better way?

Take the connector off the pump and clean up the contact and try that, if that fails take the pump out and connect it directly to a 12v source does it run? If yes its wiring/switch related, if not then get a new pump.

The wash/wipe control works by switching the pump on which also sets the relay going for 10seconds or so. It only takes a slight blimp to get the wipers to wipe but the pump will barly even spin up. It could be your stalk switch is jiggered and it's just making contact at one point but not staying on for the whole time you push it down.

ok ILL try what you said . I think it is a loose wire in the stalk it seems to work better if I twist it and push togeather.

I had a look at it yesterday the pump works fine now I definatley need a new switch though. When I had the headlight off I found 3 unused block connecters and there is 2 behind the drivers headlight any body know what the hell there for?

The big one is for the alarm siren behind the headlight. One of the small ones (there should be an identical one on the other side too) is for a seperate side light bulb in the back of your headlight (if fitted) and at a guess the last one is for the rear washer motor.

How'd I do? did I get em right?:p

I bet you have. I was hoping if I bought some spots I could plug them in but that would be way to easy (the 2 identical plugs could be for adjusting headlight beams if they were motors fitted)
