Wiper problem

I have a 2008 90 Defender. Intermittent wiper function has stopped working but the standard and fast wipes work ok. If I put it on normal wipe and then flick to intermittent the wiper blade stops where it was when I flick to intermittent. Any advice of which part to change and how to do so gratefully received!

Sounds like the relay has gone. They are a unplug and replace item. I would expect it to be behind the dash, but not too sure on a more modern version.

Aye, I'd try the relay first.
Lives (should) fusebox area on a cable assembly.
Look up PRC6864 up to KA927700
Or AMR2341 from KA927701

I have a slightly older model (2006) and my wiper problems were finally cured by replacing the relay (well, it's actually a lot more than a relay, more of a control unit) with a decent branded item. So another vote for the relay here.

First of all try re-seating the relay.
It may just have bounced out.

Also search for "VW 99 relay is a good replacement and will give you an adjustable intermittent time delay"
