Have they got a double filiment (main beams + dipped beams) and are they any good?
i agree piaa's are top class but u cant go wrong with the wipacs for a budget set of lamps with excellent light output, at the end of the day u gets what u pay for and thats a good price on ebay for the piaas, (cibies on me rally car cost 60 each!)stop right there...
get the PIAA's there is a set of 80xt's on ebay with LR covers for £100 i think. driving beam 120w bulbs.
aluminium body finned for cooling, slim (80mm) for close fitting. these are fitted to WRC subaru's etc as their additional lighting (mainly low down fogs). If you look up the 80xt's they are £270 for the set, but the LR ones are on special offer. no wires or harness, just the lamps/bulbs/covers. but thats not a problem.
reason for special offer is that LR have just signed a deal for all their aux lights to be made by PIAA.
If you want world class driving lights get the PIAA's. You dont see WRC cars with 8" wipacs on do you?

No, they will sit between the headlights about 150 mm forward of them on the bullbar and I want them both for road and off road useSlimjim, have you also thought about what position you will have them in and what beam pattern you need? as the wipacs are "spots" it kind of narrows your options.

Im learning as I go with my landy will do as much as possible myself going well so far but wiring is not for me Id rather pay to do it properly than have all my effort burst into flamesslimjim, whatever lights u get, make sure theyre mounted where theyre not gonna get damaged and use a relay! seen so many melted looms where ppl have wired them straight into the existing circuts! (not just on landys, so called proffesional built rally cars)
