Disco 1 Wing mirrors

Hi

Thinking of trying to fit defender wing mirrors to my discovery 1, as I have smashed about 8 now I think it is when off roading. Has anyone ever done this and if so any pics of it and how have u made the base plates and attached them ?

Do u mean door mirrors? If you do then "trying" is what you'll be doing, you will have to install additional strengthening to the area the Defender's mirror mounting will be fitted and that's I'd you can get access the that part of the inner door.

Easier to stop and fold in the existing mirrors when the going gets tight maybe

Hi yes sorry neat door mirrors, and mine are folded in when off roading but still happens as they stick out so far

Well, stop driving it through doorways that were only made for personal access!
I've wiped two drivers side wing mirrors off in the bush on narrow tracks, not folded in and travelling a bit too quickly but its just popped the glass out both times, same result, off to the wreckers for another second hand complete replacement, new mirror glasses are expensive here.
