The TD5 front windscreen wipers, jets and rear wiper (but jet worked) stopped last week, then started again a few minutes late, its done this twice, then at the weekend they just stopped totally. Checked fuse and all was fine, took out and tapped the relay in the engine bay and its all started working again. But then later on in the day same thing happened. removing and tapping the relay did nothing so had to continue on the journey with no wipers. I stopped with the intention of giving it another fiddle and as i got out of the car they started again. I'm happy to change the relay and see if that works (just need t source one), but just wondered if it was a common failure and if its due to something else. Done a search but not really found an answer
