Windscreen wiper link rod

The link rod on our freelander 2 failed while we were on holiday. I think that the rubber part that sits behind the ball and socket mechanism failed, causing the arm to fall out. I did a quick repair in a Croatian car park with a piece of elasticated string (which is working surprisingly well) and wanted to ask the forum about whether the rubber part of the mechanism can be replaced without having to purchase a whole new wiper mechanism.

Please see image below in case I haven't named the parts right. Any assistance/advice would be appreciated.

Unfortunately the whole wiper mechanism needs replacing. Nice temporary fix though.

These fit the Freelander 1. Might they work here ??
