Finally got the Disco home tonight. Runs and drives fine (apart from alot of smoke for the first few miles).

Trying to find prices of:
New front windscreen,
Passenger side alpine window,
Back passenger side pop open window,

Ebay has a few parts on it. Basically trying to decide whether it is worth trying to repair or sell it for parts.

Anyone know how much a new screen (fitted) is?

Don't think it is unfortunately.

Still not sure if the front has been pushed down. Because the doors are really hard to open.
If someone with a 300tdi, could measure from the top front of the pillar down to the door latch. That would be cracking.

Had a quote over the phone today:

£120 + VAT for screen fitted,
£35 each for the rubber trim bits that go round the screen (4 of them).

So i could be about £140 if they don't bend the rubber trims. If not could be nearly £300.

Does that sounds about right?

They did say, that if they can get them out straight then i wouldn't have to pay for new rubbers. And since it is 'spidered' from the top left, right to the middle, would probably be easier to smash it completely to.try save them.

They save the trim by cutting the windscreen out from inside.only way to get it out really.

Ad that price is cheap for the trim i rang my local landrover spares place and was quoted 165 plus vat just for the top windscreen to roof trim.n sides were 65 plus vat

Wait one moment old chap, did you not roll this vehicle resulting in significant damage to the roof and frame.?! We're you not required to escape via the rear window.?!

I'm hesident to offer an opinion for fear of encouraging you further.

I would appreciate viewing updated pictures of the vehicle.

Some friendly advice, why not use this opportunity to be truthful, come clean and start afresh. Life's too short to spend excessive time trying to impress others.

I wouldn't worry now he's trying to sell it. No doubt some poor sod will fall for all his bullsh*t. :(
