Windscreen Heater Check

Update,

Got all the crap round the windscreen off.

Power on both sides.
Earth's good, although I had to remake it as it broke when I tried to unbolt it.

Checked for continuity on both sides. RHS good, LHS bad. Looks like LHS element has gone.... Bugger!

Pretty much par for the course, use the aircon and start the car a few minutes before you go out in winter and the heated screen is totaly unnecessary

Thanks, AT least I fixed the GPS aerial whilst I was in there. And cured the Farting Noise! The clips where missing from the windscreen strip.

I am down to 4 faults now....

Passenger side mirror tilt - that IS the mechanism
Heated Windscreen LHS - Element Gone
Crank Speed Sensor - Shows as fault on Hawkeye but is working.
EAS - Sensor swop fixed errors, but needs calibration (hence your lead and software), pump runs a lot but suspect this because system out of calibration.

If you have the windscreen changed tell them is cracked. As if you say heating not working ,they will say your not covered as wear and tear

Thanks. Am happy, clears quickly on drivers side and with blowers, clears in a sec.
