Windows lowering on their own!

How can l stop the windows in the rear doors of my Defender 110 from slowly lowering themselves.....after a few days there's an inch gap at the top and l have to get in the back and wind them up again.
I love Defenders. Where else would you get self lowering windows?

The fix is to reposition the winder handles so they point down when the window is up.

No idea if it works on Landrovers.

Its in a TSB about fiesta rear windows. ...customers have not come back!!!!

It works - did it myself!!! Took me ages to figure it out!!!

The driver's side window on mine used to come down by itself very readily. If you were locked out you could get in by placing the flat of your hands against the glass and easing it downwards. I ended up having to replace the window winder mechanism and now it is much better. It stays put and can't be forced down.
