window wont set problem????

hi all my drivers side front window will not set for some reason it goess up and down fine but still just says not set the only thing i have noticed it the one touch function for open/close has stopped working on this window could this be the problem as was going to swap with another switch to see if cures it or will i be wasting my time any help would be great thanks

Have you tried to set it ie. all the way down and then all the way up and hold for a few seconds bearing in mind that you have to do this all in a continous motion.
Also check to make sure that your glass actually goes all the way up because if it doesn't thats usually a sign that your window regulator is on its way out and if it is you wont be able to set your window.

I noticed this same fault on mine today as well I got in the car and drove for a while and it came up with the window needing set. Done it again and it has been all right all day. Thought it was a strange but the single action button did not work with it either. Unitl it reset.

I believe that the one touch function doesnt work until the windows are set. Sometimes setting them can be a right pain, it took me a few trys to get all of them done; as previously said if it isnt done in one movement then it doesnt work and register as set.

have done this but not in 1 movement will try in the morning and let you know how i get on thanks

tried doing it in one movement several times but still wont set anymore ideas people ????

Mine does this occassionally and then disappears without doing anything.... my theory is a poor earth somewhere in the circuit, but haven't had time to investigate.

as above has gone as quickly as it came seems ok now so will look further if it happens again thanks again for the help people it much appriciated
