Window regulator

Hi, does anyone know if an early discovery front electric window regulator is the same mechanicals i.e. the gear part and the scissor part as a defender ?? Looking at mine and images the only part that look different is the slider that fits to the glass as it looks longer on the discovery one.

I have electric windows on my defender 300tdi 1997, and need to replace the gear part as its worn the teeth. I know theres kits about but only need the scissor part really and the discovery ones are easier to source.
