Window regulater

I have just fitted a new window regulater to my drivers door as i was getting "window not set " message , so what goes wrong with the regulater as my old one looked as good as the new one i have fitted

The teeth wear and jump. Does your new one work ok??????????

Yes it works fine now, all i have to do now is replace the front passenger door latch as thats now failed, wont lock or unlock with the remote, i did remove it and took it to bits , cleaned it and put it back on the vehicle but only worked a couple of times .

So this week so far i had the window regulater fail, door latch, brake light switch,and a bulb for the heater display fail, but it has been trouble free for over a year so cant complaine

Does that not prove that the old one was nackered??-its one of the most common faults on the P38 as it gets most wear and comes under a lot of pressure when the Window Not Set reset procedure is carried out.:behindsofa:

It sure does but mine was not jumping teeth, anyway its fixed now just got to wait for the next problem
