Just a quick one since buying the car the near side rear window hasent worked
Now ive just had the card off and got a multi meter on it! Its reciving power (11v engine off)
And theres a relay in the moter i can hear clicking but no movement, what do the other wires do? (is there somthing that tells the moter to move other than the power?)i get window not set message i know how to set window once i get the window moving but it at least it shows the becm is talking and both buttons work
So am i right just buying a new moter or is there any servicable parts or relays i should check?

Clicking probably means the window regulator is worn and the motor gear teeth are jumping.

No ive completly dismantled it,even took the motor off of the regulator and click is very quiet but is defanatly coming from the motor but it dont even attempt to turn
Its the wireing that puzzles me. I get that the 2 thicker wires are power cos i get a voltage from them when i press the button but what are the other wires for?
Ive found a new moter for £35 so just ordered it

Do any of them give feedback to the motor to give "permition" to move?
Didnt think there was much in the motor to go wrong

There is an electronic controller in it, connected to both the BECM and the outstation. So not quite as simple as you may think.
