Hi Landy folk, don't post often but am always looking in,

I'm going to replace the O/S/R door window regulator on the old freelander and have bought a new pattern one complete with motor. on the box it say's to disconnect the battery to allow the CCU to recognize the new one. but the LR manual has no mention of this other than calibrating the tailgate window. Anyone had a problem or do I need to try and find what the radio code is before I disconnect the battery.

Thanks in advance, Ian.

p.s.

Thanks for the info that I found the other day as well, one diff mounting changed and its a different car to drive :)

Thanks, I'll just change it. I didn't see a problem but thought I would check. The new one I have is from Britpart.

Ian.

I bought a new one off eBay a few weeks back for my rear offside door. Didn't disconnect battery and it all worked brilliantly. I guess it's not original LR as it was only £35 but who cares....it works

I have dealt with Britpart on a number of occasions with no problems, usually for trim and other cosmetics. Always seem to get decent prices/service.
